Here are some simple tips on going green in your life. These are just a starting point for getting on the right path. Each one of us can make a difference when it comes to changing the world we live in.

Start by using only environmentally friendly cleaning products. Today you can find them in every retail or hardware store for the same price or less.

Re-use whatever you can:

* plastic shopping bags smaller garbage cans
* drink coffee? If you brew it yourself, eliminate paper filters by purchasing a reusable filter, available for just a few dollars at natural food stores and elsewhere
* use solar power Christmas Lights
* drinking bottles, check to make sure you clean them at the correct temperature

Reduce your fuel consumption by:

* keeping your tires at the right pressure
* keeping your air filter clean
* taking a few more walks
* get that bike out of the shed

Reduce your power consumption by:

* turning everything off when not in use
* unplugging what can't be turned off (this is actually better because many things draw power just by being plugged in
* replacing your old thermostat with a new programmable one. Then set the temperature to go down after your in bed or no one is home.
* changing your light bulbs to Compact Fluorescent

Reduce your water consumption by:

* taking showers instead of baths or use new shower heads that are efficient
* shut the water off when brushing your teeth
* set your clothes washer to the current load size
* fix your leaky faucets

Recycle whenever possible:

* all paper products and cardboards
* cans and Bottles
* computers and Monitors, a lot cities or fire departments have recycling days for chemicals and computers
* once they're all used up, recycle your rechargeable batteries

If you implement some of these tips for going green, you will be well on your way to going green for life.
