The LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations (LEED-NC) green building rating system is designed to guide and distinguish high-performance commercial and institutional projects. LEED-NC projects span a variety of building types and vertical markets, from commercial office buildings to the education and government markets. Today, most LEED-certified buildings are LEED-NC.
The LEED-NC Version 2.2 rating system provides four levels of certification, designed on a points-based system;
